"yeah i'm starved", Shikamaru said, returning the smile, "lets eat in the tree. Oh yeah, but by the way, the only way to get to the area is by walking up the trunk using chakra."
*And with that, Shikamaru walked up to the tree and began to stride the distance up its gearth to the area of . After reaching the spot, he placed the basket down on the nearest panel of wood and heaved himself up looking around to see that it was just as he had left it, very spacious with the open area above where one could see all of the clouds above them. Shikamaru the looked back down to see if Miyako was making her way up as well.*

Miyako focused her chakra to her feet and began the climb up the monstrous tree. She walked up the tree until she reached the boards, and pulled herself up.
Looking beyond the tree, you could see expanses of forests, and even the village itself. You could clearly see all the faces on the Hokage Mountains. Curious, Miyako peered over the edge to see just how high up this thing had to be. The bushes and plants below them were tiny, but she could make out the path that they used to get here.
"Wow, lets be careful and make sure neither of us fall." She said with a wry grin.

"yeah...we may be shinobi but a fall like that could definantly hurt us...", Shikamaru said, smiling also.
*after a second more, Shikamaru took the basket and brought out a large blanket which he tossed over the hard wooden floor. He then placed the basket in the center, and sat down. Then he placed his hand inside the basket and pulled out some plates and a couple of glasses.*

As Shikamaru put a blanket down, she returned to the middle of the planks and not the edge. He pulled out some plates and glasses, which Miyako took and set them up. One plate for herself, and one for Shikamaru. She divided the glasses the same way.
Miyako didn't know what food was in the basket, so she waited patiently for Shikamaru to take that out as well.

*Shikamaru placed his hand once again inside the basket and pulled out a jar which held inside some of the freshest strawberries ever and put them by the plates. Next he withdrew a loaf of bread and placed them on another plate next to the strawberries. Then, he took a plastic bag which held within various meats such as ham and turkey. These he put in the middle of the spread on a plate he just took out of the basket.*
"Now then," Shikamaru said, putting his hand inside the basket again and pulling out a bottle of tea, "shall we eat?"

"Yeah, lets eat!", Miyako took a couple slices of bread and began to build a sandwich. She help herself to a few strawberries and placed them on her plate. She took a tea bottle and took a few sips of it before she took a bite out of her sandwich.
Miyako smiled, and ate a strawberry. "Good strawberries, their my favorite fruit." She said, taking a bite out of another. "Did your family grow these or did you buy them at a store?" She wondered. It was pretty hard to get good strawberries, alot of the times they wound up being tart and not sweet at all. So Miyako was curious as to where he got them from.

*As Shikamaru began to make himself a sandwich also, he answered Miyaiko's question.*
"Actually we didn't grow them here, those strawberries grow naturally throughout the forest. That's why they have that fresh taste."
*Shikamaru took a bite out of his sandwich and put it back down on his plate. Shikamaru then laid back and watched as a cloud lazily floated by.*

Miyako ate her last strawberry while Shikamaru answered her question. She shrugged and nodded, "Makes sense,"
Shikamaru laid back and watch the clouds go by. Miyako looked up at the clouds, picturing the many things they could be. Rabbits, mice, foxes...shoes... Looking at the clouds made her mind wander, "Have you ever wondered what the future will be like? Whats going to happen and stuff?" She asked. Suddenly realizing her question was really random and strange she sweat dropped and laughed a bit. Maybe her mind shouldn't wander too much.
(Hooray for random conversation starters!! :B)

(Random conversation starters RULE!!!)
"no really...I just think of the now, not so much about the future...I do think sometimes about what life will be like later...but not much more beyond that...how bout' you? What's on your mind for the future?"
*Shikamaru averted his attention towards Miyako and gave a her a sly smile.*

Miyako just shrugged her shoulders. "I'm not entirely sure about the future, its hard to say what I want to do and how I want things to end up because you never know what changes will occur along the way. After all I could be dead tomorrow, it's just unpredictable." She said with a light laugh.
"Ah, but why did I bring that up anyway? That kind of stuff is way too deep for me." She said, taking another bite of her sandwich.

"Yeah, I find all that 'looking to the future' stuff useless...if its gonna happen, let it. There's isn't anything you can do about it anyway..."
*A moment later Shikamaru had finished his lunch and began to watch the clouds go by overhead once more. Shikamaru then bagan to doze off but slowly got to a sitting postion once more, and yawned, so as to not fall asleep.*
